“The abbreviation ‘FSC’ stands for Forest Stewardship Council; it was established in 1993 as a response to global concerns over deforestation. FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.

FSC operate a chain of custody certification system. The chain of custody system allows tracking of FSC certified material (timber from world forests operating within FSC guidelines for responsibly managed forests) from the forest all the way to the end customer.

Only companies with Full FSC chain of custody certification are allowed to use the FSC trademarks and to make FSC claims on FSC certified material. The Ahmarra umbrella of companies are all accredited COC members; our unique Chain of Custody number is TT–COC-002180.”

PEFC is an international, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization. PEFC works tirelessly to promote good practise in the forest and to ensure that both timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards.
